Are you frustrated with the state of our economy and education? Do you think we need to change the way our government makes decisions? Let’s get together and discuss what we can do to have our voices heard in our community. Bring your ideas, thoughts, and a fun dish and enjoy a beautiful afternoon in the Almaden Quicksilver park. We also be discussing local congressional elections and what role we have to play in electing leaders from the community. We will also talk about other issues that affect our community.
Joining us will be Field Organizers from Ro Khanna’s campaign who have experience campaigning for both state and national campaigns in and out of the area. Ro Khanna is the former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce for President Obama’s Administration and author of Entrepreneurial Nation, a book about manufacturing and strategies to keep the best companies, jobs, and opportunities in America. He is currently teaching at Stanford and Santa Clara and is a lawyer.
It is a potluck so please bring some food if you can!
The event is at Quicksilver park-the entrance closest to the intersection of Almaden Rd. and Mockingbird Hill Ln. When driving down Alamaden Rd, turn right on Mockingbird Ln, and continue to the top of hill and the parking lot will be on your left. We will be at the picnic tables.
